Show Time

We are wrapping up another wholesale show, preparing to gather our gorgeous samples, happily content having met with our wonderful boutique and
store buyers, who have journeyed from near or far to select from our next season's range. Wholesale shows exhibit garments well in advance of production commencing, a lead time of six, seven or even nine months, ahead of delivery. The collection, however, is planned a year in advance. Our chosen colours turn into woven fabrics, prints and embroideries, transforming into garments ready to show and inspire buyers and press alike.

We are always thrilled to catch up with industry gossip at exhibitions. Some of us have know each other for decades. Enlightening conversations are energising and it's fair to say the fondness we feel for our buyers and friendly exhibitors over many shows and over many years, is heartwarming and deeply special. We love to hear how well our collection sold amongst the many collections store buyers have uniquely drawn together for their own clients. We listen and learn, embracing the knowledge our buyers take the time to share with us.

Samples shown at this early stage work very hard. After appearing at the trade shows, they are photographed as cut-outs, no model, simply clear images
of each garment, shot by the talented Francesca in her London studio. These images follow all stages of production and refered to almost daily for one
reason or another. The very same samples are then whisked off for the model and lifestyle shoot, always overseas, in the talented and stylish hands of the most extraordinary team I have worked with for many years.

After the model shoot, samples are returned to the NoLoGo-Chic studios in Windsor, to be fitted and measurement charts drafted, ready to be signed off
prior to the commencement of production. The orignal samples leave our loving hands to finally return to the factory for manufacturing reference. Their
first and final home!

From the buyers first viewing at trade shows, who then go on to sell the garment in their store, spare a thought for each single creation. The people, the places, conversations and the thrill which followed them around the world.
