A Tunic or Two

NoLoGo-chic absolutely loved attending a number of Shows and Fairs throughout Spring and Summer this year. Our main purpose of showing at exhibitions was to actually meet our customers old and new. To hear what you have to say, see at first hand how the clothes fit and to actually listen to you and learn.
An enormous best seller for NoLoGo-chic this year has been our printed pure linen tunics and printed pure cotton tunics. Customers have fallen seriously in love with our version of this easy to wear garment, which we feel is the fastest way of clothing oneself with a touch of carefree glamour. From Cheshire, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Surrey and London we were privileged to watch our customers emerge from the fitting room looking pretty, slimmer, happy and often so amazed at their transformation, their eyes glinted with girly tears! The choice then was not whether to buy the one they wore, but whether they ought to buy 2 or 3 of the tunics and the agony of deciding in which of our 5 prints.
Most Tunic dresses were bought to wear on holiday. A hard working garment to throw on for breakfast; slip on at lunch over a swimsuit or to look cool and elegant at cocktails in the evening. A couple of our tunics in your suitcase can really be heaven sent to eliminate hotel room dithering of what to wear.
Many customers wore theirs for other occasions, such as our colourful tunic dress worn, perhaps, over white trousers and topped with a pretty hat to add to the cheerful atmosphere of Henley Regatta. Others bought theirs to look fabulously chic and original whilst picnicking and listening to the opera at Glyndebourne. A number of ladies will be marrying in our tunics on beaches around the world! One lady bought 6 for her bridesmaids to wear on her Caribbean wedding day. Another was a mother of the bride who bought one to wear with a stunning hat covered in tropical flowers and Jimmy Choo sparkling sandals.. All in all, beautiful and original women, with beautiful and original ideas of how to wear the garment they had fallen in love with at first sight.
Some print versions never made to to our website. They arrived the afternoon before the most gorgeous of all Summer Fairs, The Spirit of Summer House and Garden Festival at Olympia in London. It was all we could do to redirect the boxes ready to sell at the show the next morning. We sold out over the show’s 4 hectic days.
It was sad to witness the disappointment when a size had sold out and we will be increasing our order quantities in the future. But not so big! We want you to be as unique as possible and have no intention of even doubling up or numbers of each print.
So yes, we listened. Here are a few of your comments along with our answers:
“Would love a pocket.” you said. Indeed we will add a pocket going forward. Not sure why we didn’t put one in the first time round. I am a pocket girl myself, somewhere to pop the phone and those often disappearing keys.
"What will it look like with a belt?” Those lucky ladies with their treasured waistlines asked. Well it looks fabulous with a belt. Take a look at this gorgeous blogger, Natalie Robinson of Style Icon looking beautiful in our Tropical Tunic.
Or the fabulous Ceri Wheeldon, editor of the online forum Fab After Fifty, who is seen here on her recent trip to the South of France wearing our long length tunic with a double wrap belt found in one of those magical markets close to St Tropez.
“Can I wash it or does it have to be dry cleaned?” Go ahead we say, pop it into the washing machine. 30 degree is best. The garment has already been though a series of washes in order to achieve the soft handle you all love. During the manufacturing process it is important to us to ensure all shrinkage has been eliminated and that the handle of the printed cloth is soft against the skin.
“I love the fit, but I don’t wear prints. I’d love one in plain a colour.” We are adding a number of plain dyed for those ladies who love a splash of plain colour and then go mad with accessories. We have eye-absorbing Violet plucked straight from a rainbow, Purple (oh how you love purple!) Golden-Lime, Island-Pink, Pebble-Grey and that newly named colour called MARRS GREEN. It’s a turquoise-greeny-blue shade, which has been voted the most favourite colour in the world.

Whichever gorgeous print or sophisticated plain version you go for we will keep the double-faced deep hem and cuffs. We are holding on to our pretty V neckline, which flatters the face and lengthens the neck and of course those pretty seashell buttons will remain. We wont change a single stitch, otherwise. We promise.
There is a NoLoGo-chic collection of resort wear all year round. Useful for those of you with warm far away places to visit whilst it is bone chillingly cold back home. Our fit will continue to be realistic and roomy with a size range of S (10-12) through to XL (22-24) Keep a lookout for our new print and plain versions very soon.
